Hi friends! And welcome to Sweat + Soul Collective! To say we are excited to have you, is an understatement. Not only has the making of this community and space we welcome you to been a long road, but it has also come in the midst of a global pandemic that I think we can all agree has rocked our worlds. But now, here we are and we truly believe that while the road has been rocky for all of us the last few months, that same road, brought us here, together! And for that we are beyond grateful. 

We’re Autumn and Katharine, the creators of Sweat + Soul and we are ready to welcome you with open arms! We met in 2014 when both of our lives brought us to Austin, TX and we have been besties since! So you might be wondering, where did Sweat + Soul come from and why. Well, for years we have brainstormed and dreamed of creating a business together. It has been all sorts of ideas. But every one of them always came back to a common theme. COMMUNITY. A place FOR WOMEN, BY WOMEN. For women in different places in their lives, but all facing similar struggles. For women to feel supported to work toward common goals. To learn and create a healthy lifestyle so they can go live out their dreams and purpose. So in the midst of COVID-19, we dreamt big, we had visions, and we came together to make it happen.

Autumn was pregnant with her first child and is now juggling motherhood and work as we are launching this! She faced a lot going through the entire 2nd half of her pregnancy in quarantine while also keeping a full schedule of personal training clients and classes. Katharine was juggling a full time job while being completely alone for 12 weeks! We have had our ups and downs. We have lifted one another up and been a shoulder to lean on (virtually of course). And I think this is exactly what helped propel us to this point. We needed one another, and we need you! And we all need each other! 

Our vision and plan for S+S is ever evolving and one we want you to be a part of. But, here is what we are and where our plan is to go!

So, here we are today, with Sweat + Soul ready to take off and be a place we can come together and do big things. Our dreams are big and each of you are a part of them! It’s going to be an epic ride and we hope each of you joins us for it!

MEET AUTUMN

I took my first group travel retreat at the age of 7. My parents have always loved to travel and both were (and still are) group travel leaders for educational trips throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia, and Central America. Growing up we traveled each and every school vacation and by the time I reached college I had co-led more than 20 trips

My career in the fitness industry started in 1999 as a boxing instructor in my home town of Seattle, Washington. I took on my first private clients shortly thereafter. Over the past 18 years I have immersed myself in the study of fitness, health and wellness and have been certified in a variety of fitness and nutrition methodologies. I realized, very early on, that movement and the way people from other cultures move fascinated me. My degree in Athropology provided me with the skills I needed to better understand these cultures. I have traveled to China to study yoga and meditation, Thailand to observe and participate in Muay-Thai and Korea for cooking lessons. In my travels I’ve found that there is no single method or "way" that is always the right "way". Instead, I try to incorporate multiple ideas and focus on finding the right "way" for the client I am working with.

MEET KATHARINE

To say I am excited to be here is an understatement! My name is Katharine and I am a Kentucky born, lover of all things fitness, college football and basketball, and tacos, who is passionate about changing lives while having fun. I became a personal trainer after leaving a 10 year career in college football. During that time, I was fortunate enough to meet lifelong friends and learn and grow under amazing coaches and organizations. I gained a lot of my skills and knowledge when it comes to building a team environment and organizing events during that time and cannot wait to use it here. Since transitioning to health and fitness, I have grown a huge passion for working with women to build confidence, work on mindset, focus on nutrition and build a life they are meant to live. I am an operations, logistics loving person who loves planning events and getting creative! So I am ready to have some fun, and help our Sweat + Soul tribe grow, thrive and be the badass women I know we all are!
